Diversity in Dermatology

On July 19, 2021, the University of Mississippi Medical Center Department of Dermatology participated in the medical center's Insight Summer Enrichment Program. The program is designed to inspire Mississippi high school students in medically underrepresented racial or ethnic groups, educating participants on the necessary steps to become physicians. Dr. Robert Brodell and several Dermatology faculty and residents explained the process of excising lesions and suturing then assisted the students in practicing the procedures on bananas.
